Palmisano Nature Park, 2850 S Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60608
The performance was livestreamed on Twitch. "LUCA/Res Communis: ETHOS Episode III" (World Premiere), by Ayako Kato/Art Union Humanscape, for Palmisano Park, is part of the ETHOS project that sets art practice in natural environs. Episode III draws on the land’s history as the quarry that built modern Chicago, acknowledges the past, present, and future Indigenous people living among us, and is created in collaboration. It is organized as timed dances, land and water acknowledgements, and a culminating circle. Visitors choose to be guided by docents, or roam on their own.
Produced by High Concept Labs in Joint Residency with the Monira Foundation at Mana Contemporary. This event is presented as part of the Chicago Park District’s Night Out in the Parks program.
ACCESSIBILITY: Natural environment with paved/maintained pathways making most performance spaces wheelchair accessible. One area of the performance is NOT wheelchair accessible. For other accessibility requests, please contact info@chicagodancemakers.org.
*Rain or Shine. In case of inclement weather, please check for updates on Chicago Dancemakers Forum’s Instagram page.
