Featuring: Irene Hsiao and We Are Collective

Chicago Dancemakers Forum partnered with National Resources Defense Fund last month to commission responsive works to Jennifer Wen Ma's installation "Turn of the Tide" at EXPO Chicago. Video documentation of these works by We Are Collective & 2020 Lab Artist Irene Hsiao is available online, including this collaboration between Irene and Marvin Tate & Hunter Diamond and this performance of "CRUDE" by We Are Collective.

Original dance works responding to "Turn of the Tide," a site specific immersive art installation created for EXPO CHICAGO by the artist Jennifer Wen Ma. We Are Collective will premiere CRUDE, "Through vigorous movement we find the line between the unfiltered and the refined. CRUDE is an exploration of catastrophe in the macro and the micro. When a community accepts toxicity, what can we do to stop it?"
