Chicago Dancemakers Forum marked its 10th anniversary with a daylong celebration of dance at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. Some 30 notable choreographers who had been supported through CDF performed throughout the afternoon and evening with works for the concert stage and installation-based works set in the museum’s galleries, as well as dance films.

The daytime program was free with museum admission and featured a tremendous range of contemporary dance by Victor Alexander, Julia Rae Antonick & Jonathan Meyer (khecari), Rachel Bunting (the humans), Justin Cabrillos, Paige Cunningham Caldarella, Peter Carpenter (Peter Carpenter Performance Project), Asimina Chremos, Margi Cole (The Dance COLEctive), Rachel Damon (Synapse Arts), Emma Draves, Carrie Hanson (The Seldoms), Mark Jeffery and Judd Morrissey, Atalee Judy (BONEdanse), Ayako Kato (Art Union Humanscape), Ginger Krebs, Nicole LeGette (blushing poppy productions), Meida McNeal (Honey Pot Performance), Shirley Mordine (Mordine & Co Dance Theater), Erica Mott (Erica Mott Productions), Nadia Oussenko, Hema Rajagopalan (Natya Dance Theatre), Adam Rose (Antibody Corporation), Molly Shanahan (Mad Shak), and Sheldon Smith (Smith/Wymore Disappearing Acts).

The evening program was followed by a reception, and raised funds toward CDF’s program of grants to choreographers. The evening program features performances by Jan Bartoszek (Hedwig Dances), Darrell Jones, Kristina Isabelle (Kristina Isabelle Dance), Michelle Kranicke (Zephyr Dance), Nicole LeGette (blushing poppy productions), Erica Mott (Erica Mott Productions), and Julia Rhoads (Lucky Plush Productions).
