TZINELAS

TZINELAS is a multimedia piece envisioned as a collective ritual of protest, that brings together voices of migrant Latina women from diverse ethnicities, to show how our cultural and ancestral practices enable us to resist the systemic violence we face while living in the US. This work represents a natural extension of my solo piece CHINELA, la que brinca y brama, a personal journey where I explore how my connections to my past and culture help me to survive and stand against the turbulent context in which we live.

*Project partners: Blue Door Neighborhood Center, South Lawndale (Community Partnership).
