Sanjana Kumar (she/her/hers) is a sophomore at Walter Payton College Preparatory School and a passionate Bharatanatyam (Indian classical dance) artist. She is a student of Smt. Medha Hari at the Bharathanjali School of Dance in Chennai, India. Sanjana was the 2018 winner of the prestigious Cleveland Thyagaraja Utsavam Indian classical dance festival and was a 2021 fellow for the Indian Raga arts platform. She is excited to delve into the vibrant arts scene of Chicago and understand arts administration through her internship at the Chicago Dancemakers Forum. Apart from dance, Sanjana is also a level 9 gymnast and owns her own custom baking business, SweetsbySanjana.
