Mabel Luján (she/her) is a recent graduate from Goucher College where she received degrees in Dance and Professional Writing. Her work centers around utilizing the written word performatively to promote dance artists and organizations. She aspires to perform and write professionally, and also to use the intersection between the two disciplines to create multimodal and interdisciplinary methods of communication. Her research uses frameworks developed by writing scholars to create a dance composition framework reflective of those practices. Mabel sees both writing and dance as rhetorical and social experiences that function with similar intentions. She can’t wait to put these ideas to work as the Communications intern.
