Elysia Christine Banks received a BFA in Dance Performance in the spring of 2012 from Northern Illinois University. She took a hiatus from dance during 2014-2016 to devote herself to motherhood. Elysia founded Banks Performance Project in Chicago, IL in January 2017.Since its founding, BPP has performed at venues such as the Goodman Theatre, Theatre on the Lake, The Center on Halsted, Collaboraction Studios, and Hamilton Park Cultural Center which also serves as the resident rehearsal space for the company. Elysia C. Banks is thrilled to continue her artistic journey as a dancer, teacher, choreographer, and mother.
