Merritt Stults (she/her/hers) Merritt is a senior at Loyola studying dance and political science. She has been dancing since age 10, with a background primarily in modern and ballet. She has had the opportunity to participate in many full-length ballets, summer intensives, and festivals during her training. While at Loyola, Merritt has performed in pieces such as Gerald Arpino’s Viva Vivaldi, Doris Humphrey’s Water Study, excerpts from Coppélia, and various student works. She was the rehearsal assistant for Talia Koylass’ and Sarah Cullen Fuller’s dance film, Family Tree, and recently premiered her first dance film, 110%: A Sum of Parts. She is the sitting Vice President of Loyola’s Dance Honor Society and has performed as a part of the Vietnamese Student Association’s dance team. Merritt looks forward to connecting more deeply with the Chicago dance community while at Chicago Dancemakers Forum.
