2026 Dance Project Grant
Swine Ball
Swine Ball is a new dance-theater performance work that explores the leakiness of civic participation and the yearning to read a queer lifeline into personal and political history. Initially workshopped through the University of Chicago Performance Lab, with direction and choreography by Nora Sharp and playwriting by Hal Cosentino in collaboration with a cast of Chicago dancers, it is expected to premiere in spring 2027.
*Partially supported by the University of Chicago Performance Lab
