Event Services
Marketing, communications, and registration forms for each event will indicate masking policies and which services (ASL Interpretation, C.A.R.T. / Captioning, Stim Materials, and/or Audio Description) will/can be provided. INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT
We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants, artists, and community members. Chicago Dancemakers Forum is committed to the pursuit of more Crip Culture / Disabled-Led dance programming and spaces in the Chicago region.
VENUE SELECTION
Whenever possible, we select accessible facilities and venues for our events, performances, and gatherings. A low-sensory/quiet space, face masks, hand sanitizer, ear plugs, reserved seating, and wayfinding documents are available for most events
COMMUNICATIONS
Chicago Dancemakers Forum is working toward increasingly effective communication with individuals with disabilities, including those with visual, hearing, or cognitive impairments. We include Alt Text / Image Description in all social media, e-communications, and e-marketing, and are working to incorporate more Audio Description on video content.
GRIEVANCE POLICY
If an individual believes they have been subjected to discrimination or denied access to our programs, they may file a grievance. Chicago Dancemakers Forum will promptly investigate and address all complaints. To file a grievance, contact equity@chicagodancemakers.org.
