Chicago Dancemakers Forum Launches New Website
Chicago Dancemakers Forum has a gone live with a long planned and much overdue redesign for its website, by Faust, the cultural branding studio of Facility Chicago.
“I am so pleased to be able to launch this beautiful new website, an outward expression of Chicago Dancemakers Forum’s mission and values, and a representation of the multitude of extraordinary dancemakers that shine in this vibrant community. Great gratitude for the artistic sensitivity, skills and generosity of our board member and graphic designer Bob Faust, the beautiful design work of Drew Waiss, and the incredible fortitude of Program and Communications Director Shawn Lent in bringing it to life,” shares Executive Director, Ginger Farley.
Board Member, Bob Faust, expresses his thoughts on the process, “Experiences with dance and dancemakers are by their nature and creation very intimate ones. But their importance and power can be monumental if the audiences and intentions can be maximized and realized. The internet, by default, becomes a very important player, especially in these times. We had to find a way to share our artist family through a screen that feels as organic as possible and provide some intimacy too. After many iterations in collaboration with a very patient and open team, we found that balance and were able to create an online starting point for many new connections.”
In addition to new design, Chicago Dancemakers Forum is implementing a new database/CRM through an in-kind gift from Salesforce and guidance from Brian Mazzaferri. Administrative Coordinator, La Mar Brown, is leading the work of tailoring the new database to Chicago Dancemakers Forum’s needs and transferring from the organization’s older systems of data management.
